Lyme Regis

We spent an hour or two at Lyme Regis beach where Ruby preferred to sit in her pushchair rather than play in the sand. She did get to have a paddle in the sea and it made a fitting end to our holiday!

Bournemouth Oceanarium and Sandbanks Beach

Another day another aquarium followed by a quick trip to the beach at Sandbanks where Ruby built her first sandcastle with her new bucket and spade.

Monkey World!

Monkey World was a big hit with everyone and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dorset. Our little monkey particularly liked running off at high speed!

Soaking up the sun in Dorset

We were very fortunate to have a lovely barn conversion for our second week on holiday in Dorset which as you can see had terrific views across the countryside.

Next stop Dorset!

Ruby loved her first trip on steam train as we took the train from Corfe to Swanage on a very rainy day in Dorset.

Goonhilly and May Day in Padstow

Goonhilly was a bit geeky for my taste as the highlight was a bus tour around the dishes (which we politely excused ourselves from) but the Obby Oss May Day celebrations were extraordinary. The whole town and harbour were decorated with bunting and you can actually see the Obby Oss passing us in the last picture.

Newquay Aquarium and Polperro

Ruby loves aquariums and took full advantage of having her Daddy's undivided attention for two weeks!

Port Isaac and Land's End

Port Isaac was as beautiful as it appears on 'Doc Martin' but we were dismayed by Land's End and the fact you have to pay £10 to have a photo near the signpost so when the official photographers back was turned we took a sneaky pic!

On holiday in Cornwall

On my birthday, we were joined by Duncan, Lynne and baby Holly for a meal at Sam's in Fowey!

After a long drive we finally arrived in Cornwall, found a hotel and went for a much needed walk!

An afternoon in the park

Although swings might not be her thing, stylish headwear is a must!
